Windy Escape was the perfect vacation cottage! Immaculate, very comfortably furnished with an open living area great for family time, beautiful porches, a laundry room, and all the kitchenware you could possibly need. The furniture is very nice and the beds were so comfortable. It felt much more like a home-away-from-home than a rental. Sandy has gone above and beyond, and not just the house -- she is always available with tips about the area and is extremely responsive, friendly, and kind. The views are beyond amazing, and it's just a short walk to the beach and to the jetty. Within 24 hours, I felt so relaxed that I wished I could stay forever. Highest recommendation. Go there now!

We love going to Surfside for the Saint Patrick’s Parade we have such a great time! The house is amazing right on the parade route. You could not ask for a more beautiful home with such an amazing view. Thank you Sandy for always being such awesome host. Can’t wait for March 2020 to rent your home again for the 3rd year Nov. 2019

Property was more than we expected, great contact with owners and very helpful and accommodating. Our group loves the home and it was very clean and ready for our arrival. This is by far the best located place in the beach,,If you are looking for a comfortable place, very cozy with all the feeling s if being home this is it. We're already planning our returns again,,,

The property was beautiful and very well maintained. Check-in was easy. Great communication with the property owner. The location was perfect with plenty to do close by. The beach, jetty park, splash pad and restaurants were all just a short golf cart ride away! Lots of fun for the kids and adults! We will definitely visit again and highly recommend to others!

"Spending the weekend at Windy Escape was wonderful. The moment I walked through the door, I was enchanted. I got the immediate sense of home even though I was a stranger from miles and miles away. Going from room to room, I felt as if this cottage was a labor of love. The nautical décor, the comfortable furniture, the open kitchen and dining area were so nice. I loved it. It was a very, very nice change from the city and someday ... hopefully sooner than later, I can come back to this place."

This was our first time at surfside, it was so nice, quiet and private. The house was so comfortable and accommodating. It literally felt like we picked up our home and set it by the beach. The owner of this home helped us through the entire process and was even making sure we had everything we needed through out our stay. I will recommend this to anyone for a nice beach getaway. I will definitely come back!

"I'm so bummed to be leaving this beautiful house! We've spent the weekend with great friends; relaxing, fishing and catching sun! The house is in a great location: it's far enough from the main drag that it's quiet and yet close to the jetty for fishing, and only a block from the beach! The house is spacious enough for a few families to enjoy time together but not feel cramped. It's very clean and ready with all the amenities of home. Can’t wait to come back!"

I was so worried about doing this, the last time I reserved a home I was so very disappointed. NOTHING was the way the pictures showed and the location and home was gross, so much so, that doing it again made me nervous. I said a little prayer to please be nice, since I was doing this for Me, my husband, daughters, son in laws and grandgirls. We take a family vacation every year. I was very pleased that the owner kept me updated on what was going on in the area. She sent me messages daily before checkin to let me know what to expect. The day of checkin she sent me the codes and where to locate everything. When I got there, I followed her instructions and when I opened the door, I was blown away by how very lovely it was. I was so happy I think I might have cried a little. LOL This was everything the pictures say and so much more. I could not have been more pleased with everything. My husband has requested that we come for Christmas, which is amazing for him to have ever wanted to stay in the same place twice. I thank you so very much for one of the best family vacations we have ever had.

Our family and extended family had a fantastic time at Windy Escapes. The home is spacious, comfortable, well laid out and decorated beautifully. The owners were very thoughtful, leaving special touches to make our weekend and celebrations extra special. Communication from the owners was timely and informative. The beach was in walking distance and clean. We hope to return to this lovely home again in the future.

You’ve got to get away ( Surfside Tx) this House . We just left today and we ready to rent it for next year. Our contact person was the best. "My family decided on a last minute trip to the beach for the 4th of July! We worried cause there weren't a lot of home options available and I came across Windy Escapes! I'm so glad I did!!! My family comes from Dallas to Galveston in the summer multiple times and we've rented several houses up and down the coast, so we know what to expect with these houses!
Most of the time they are not well stocked with everything you need even though they say they are. Sometimes you are lucky to have a decent pot or even a spatula. Windy Escapes though was not a typical beach rental!!!
The owners have gone above and beyond to make their house your home. You can tell from the moment you walk in the door they've taken great pride in making you feel you are in a real house and not just a rental house!!
The kitchen had EVERYTHING a kitchen should have and it all has a theme and matches!!! The house itself has a theme and there are little details throughout the entire home that says you are at the beach!! This home is set up in such a way that it's perfect for a small family or multiple families! The owners were great and very responsive to any questions about anything! I already miss the house and can't wait till our next get away there!"
